P series pearlescent pigment is synthesized according to the structure of natural pearl, which is pearl core being alternately covered by Calcium Carbonate and Proteide. The Pearl's luster and color are visible from the reflection and refraction of light by Calcium Carbonate layer and Proteide Layer as Figure (1). P series pealescent pigment is synthesized based on this theory.

P series pearlescent pigment gives outstanding effect properties as much as natural pearl, moreover different coating thickness will cause different luster effects, as Figure (2).

Being inorganic pigment, P series pearlescent pigment consists of mica flakes and is coated by metallic oxide layer with high refrangibility, e.g. Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide. Rainbow color is obtained due to the parallel array of high refrangible metallic oxide layer, low refrangible mica flakes and medium, as Figure (3).

It will create interference color via thickness control of Titanium Dioxide coated on mica flakes asFigure (4). Golden and brown color is the result of synchronous coating of TiO 2 and Fe 2 O 3, as Figure (5) .

NOTE:
The above expatiation about P series pearlescent pigment is on the basis of our current knowledge. We do not guarantee the final effect in practical application, since we cannot control the producing or processing techniques from customers.
